RIP Bob Hansen

 I just heard that Bob Hansen passed away. he has to be THE most significant person in CB-750 history since he planted the seed of the idea of the multi-cylinder roadster to Mr. Honda. Later he managed the team that won Daytona on a CB-750 with Dick Mann piloting it. I got to know him in the eighties and always had funn visiting with him.
 I last saw him in 2011 at the show in Del Mar,California. He was feeble but recognized me.

Thanks for sharing the news, Somer.  

I'm grateful for the privilege of meeting Bob when he was 90, at the 2009 VMD sandcast meet, having him and Bob Jameson sign the top of 232's gas tank in gold paint.

Were it not for a pair of men, both named Mark, would not have had the two Bob's at the meet.

Always sad to hear when the inevitable happens. He will long be remembered by many, for all the right reasons, I am sure. It was indeed a privilege to meet and listen to him at VMD 2009.
