Guys, a little bit of expert guidance please. I am supplying a pair of mirrors for a 1969 KO. 88110-300-000 says it is for the right but the parts list also has the same for the left. Quite simply are the the same both sides?

Thank you

David

Hi David, ;)
No, there are two references for the mirrors left and right..
For the mirror's left here is the Parts List 1 69/4 it is the reference : 88120-300-000.

David,
just to bring the light to this matter. At first there were 88110-300-000 for right mirror and 88120-300-000 for left mirror in the parts list. Later Honda decided to superceeded 88120-300-000 by 88110-300-000. So if you make an order of these two, you will get 2 units of 88110-300-000 because these are same for left and right (it is very easy to make 88110-300-000 to fit the left side). Thatīs all the true.

John,
But why Honda has made 2 references at the outset for the right and the left?
There is a real difference between the two?  ???

I did a lot of research on the mirrors.  If you look at the diagram in the early parts manuals, the part numbers are for the assembly of the stem and the mirror and therefore different.  After looking at many mirror assemblies all mirrors were the same and all stems were the same.  They were just assembled opposite.  I believe that the only difference between the two is the way they are assembled.

As markb is saying. Mirrors are same, only different in the way of assambly. Honda just wanted to save the money, and I understand it.
