I remember a while back that there was mention of a 2 dimple wrinkle tank, between the 19liter tank and the 17liter double wrinkle tank which also used the short neck fuel tap.
Has anyone ever seen a 2 dimple wrinkle tank and could these pics be it? The fuel tap platform is raised like the early tanks, but the wrinkle in the neck is much less, and the date stamp is unlike anything I have seen before.
Is it possible the 2 dimple wrinkle tank was simply made by a different subcontractor to the rest of the tanks explaining the anomolies? Or could it simply be from another bike?
The fuel tap pictured is not original to the tank by the way. Its a later tap.
