Hello
I am new to the group, located near Milwaukee. I am an avid collector of many makes and models. I have 3 1969 models. # 1001367 ( in pieces) hascases cylinder and head are all sandcast.
Two # 1017029 and 1011624 have diecast cases, sandcast cylinders and the hads are sandcast however the top surface of rhe uppermost fin has been polished smooth amd the heads painted silver like the cases. Since both ate alike i assume the factory may have done this for a period until diecast heads were available to mimic the look of the cases?
Any thoughts as to why this is ?
CANNOT FiGURE OUT HOW TO POST MULTIPLE PICS? HELP!
