"88 Model Distinctions" / Re: Front fender
« on: January 27, 2020, 11:00:16 am »
Hi!
Sorry to say I have not been active on the homepage lately. To be honest, I do not understand how to open topics and read them. Was easier before.
About the frontfender nuts:
I onle have one fender with rounded M6 nuts. It is the original on #24/43 with higher drilled rivets. I know #388/407 has its original doublecut and it has the oval M6 nuts. All other doublecuts, sinlecuts and no-cuts (except later K2-K6) have the oval M6 nut.

Front End and Suspension / Re: Forks sliders oddity
« on: September 23, 2019, 12:54:07 pm »
Hi!
I have checked my sandcasts and K0:s. I also have 4 brand new sliders, one lightly tapered with 12 mm nuts for the frontaxle shell. These were used on the first around 5000 sandcasts. The three others are non tapered and have 14 mm nuts. These are used for later sandcasts and all K0:s.
Looking forward if someone else is of different meaning.
Kind Regards, Bo from Sweden.

Hi.
Yes,I agree, it is an amazing bike. In my opinion it looks too good to not have been restored. Since I already have more than 35 CB750 I decided to sell some so I did not bid on this one. I did not follow it to end so I am curious, how much did it go for?
Kind Regards, Bo from Sweden.

Hi!
The hardest to find and missing part is the 19-litre fueltank. In my opinion a full restore without the 19-ltre only brings it to 50% of it’s final value.

Hi!
Try Will Dawkins in UK. He had an engine for sale last year. His company is called classic bikes import and he uses ”freddythefatfrog” when listing items. His phonenumber is +441905620127. Hopefully he still have that 4xxx engine.

Hi!
If someone knows where to find the oiltank label for -69 and -70 year model with the narrow O in oil I also would like to buy 10-15 of them.
Thanks for your topic Kerry!
Best Regards, Bo from sweden.

Hi!
Today I have checked the original and never repainted fueltank of #31/66. It looks as they used a very thin sticker at first, then covered the sticker and finally painted the candy ruby red. The red paint hides the edges of sticker with about 0,3-0,5 mm.
Kind Regards, Bo from sweden.

Hi!
I have really appreciated your marvellous work with the webside Wayne. A big THANK YOU for your job. I am also pleased Sam is taking over. Unfortunately we are spread all over the world so I believe it will be difficult to meat you in person. However, I really hope to see you some time in the future.
Once again, Thank You Wayne and Sam, Bo from Sweden.

Restoration of Sandcast #97 / Re: Restoration of Sandcast #97
« on: March 09, 2019, 02:54:54 pm »
Hi Mark!
Looks very nice. With a repaint of disc-hub (not rivets) it will look like new. Next time: start with glasspearl blasting before grinding. When painting the disc-hub after blasting and grinding it will be perfect.
Kind regards, Bo from Sweden.

Hi!
Since I know you as I is an original-freak I am quite sure you will later regret changing colour. I therefor recommend it blue/green and also only polished, not repainted if not necessary.
Kind regards, Bo from Sweden.

Forgot to tell you can find grey horns for left mount on CB450, at least K1 and K2.

Hi!
I am happy to hear you have found a coffebar serving your favourite. Enjoy it cold and drink only one at the time. They are too strong to drink two of. If you drink two, do not use any vehicles, just walk.
Enjoy everything in Thailand, Bo.

Hi!
Both #24/43 and #31/66 has 19 mm. None of my others have them so they are 17 mm.
