All these have stamped numbers on the headstock No number = replacement frame, not correct frame or some other reason All have the stamping CB750 - 1XXXXXX
The key feature is the number 0 is a split type font

I couldn't really say but 25k Euro is a start. What are European values at the present

Depends what price. it's an under 3000 machine and looks to be original engine and parts Mostly good Instruments, handlebars and a few other bits aren't correct but 50+ years later it's not bad at all

Interesting machine. Could have been a whole lot better restoration with the original/correct parts. Still a nice clean sandcast

That's amazing. As original as I've ever seen. Too bad about the front mudguard/fender

General Discussion / Re: Cadmium or Zinc plated hardware ??
« on: September 18, 2023, 05:37:11 am »
The nuts, washers and bolts were blue zinc but some parts ware gold bright finished such as the battery box washers and spoke nipples. Some other items were tinned such as the front brake pipe and some were chromed such as the front hub bolts. Other bolts such as the fork drain bolts and seat hinge bolts could have been cad plated but I cannot say that as factual.

What means the V.I.N. (Vehicle identification number?) „xxx/E894“? Mine is „00071352“. Vin is Frame number Engine numbers are Exxx  00071352 is not a Honda number
- Is „Casting Date“ the production date? This refers to the casting date found on the rear of the top engine case usually expresses as month then day. Early engines didn't have casting dates
- „Date Sold“ means buying date of the FIRST owner? This refers to a date where the original dealer sale receipt or invoice is known/available. Not all info is available
- Owner means presumably the present owner..Yes

I see a few items but knowing VW, this bike would be very well checked out. Prices are still good if this is an indication

Personally I would have it professionally painted including all black components such as battery and tool boxes, pegs, stands, bottom tree, horn bracket, brake light bracket and swing arm. Top triple tree in satin/semi gloss.
