Here is a scalable version that SoRon on the Single Over-Head Cam 4 Forums  made up for me.  The font seems dead on to me.

Hey great info.  I will have to start looking for a correct caliper for my bike.

Thanks for the fast response Steve.  I was kinda afraid of that.  I think about the only things not replaced on this bike was the engine, frame and carbs.

Brakes / Front brake caliper differences

Was wondering at what point the front brake caliper was changed from silver or aluminum to black?  I am restoring sandcast 5635 and currently the brake caliper is black and I’m wondering if it is correct for my serial number or if it was replaced.  Also does anyone know why Honda changed to black?  Thanks!

I am about to the point I am ready to paint my frame and triple tree ,for my Sandcast 750, and have a few questions I hope to get some input on.  It seems like the triple tree has maybe a flat finish on the top and gloss/semi gloss on the bottom.  Is this correct?  What paint have others used?  I have read that when you paint aluminum you need to use self etching primmer.  Is this correct.  I have bead blaster my triple tree to remove all the old paint.  So far I am leaning towards using Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black.  Has anyone used this?  For the frame should I use gloss, high gloss, etc?  Sorry for all the questions but wanted to get as correct a finish as possible.  Thanks for any input.

When did the riveted vin tags start or stop? All I have is a sticker. Don't know what I'm gonna do when I repaint my frame.
Thanks,
Brian
