In planning what the final look for 576 will be I keep landing on Manfred Doering's 7319. I think this bike looks outstanding! The right amount of "bling" with the Candy Red really catches my eye. I suspect that some areas of this bike are over polished, in particular the Trans and Alt. Covers. I'm pretty sure for what I have read and seen on other bikes one should shoot for more of a brushed appearance. I know I own my bike and can do with it what I like. I was just wondering what the opinions were on one that may be somewhat over polished??

I personally prefer the "brushed" look but I don't have a problem with the polished look on someone elses bike.  You're not doing something that can't be undone later.  If you like it I'd say go for it.

The polishing of cases is very beautiful to see but is not a good base for the clear coat.
The alloy surface, in the time, does reaction under the clearcoat, expecially if you used the bike.
Honda, from factory, provided to a light brushed befor clearcoating.
Someone knows the tipe or no. of tool to do the same finiture surface?
I'm very interested to know it.

I get my brushed look by using Scotchbrite, maroon, grey, then white and all by hand.  Very time consuming but I've tried a couple places for covers and was not happy with the results.  If anyone knows of someone who could replicate the Honda process I would like to know too.  By the way, so far I've had good luck with clear coat sticking to the brushed finish.

The life of clearcoat on brushed surface is longer respect a polished surface.
