Hi Maurizio,

The bike is still being disassembled, except the engine. I only have replaced the head gasket. Finding time to assemble the K0 is not easy...

It was my understanding that the 1970 KO had black badges.

Of course,I've been wrong before!

Today I received an email with pics from the paintshop that the frame and frame parts are finished. They look so great! This painter is doing all the paintwork for my bikes. He isn't cheap, but I think that he is the very best motorbike painter in Holland. He is, like me, a perfectionist.
I asked him to do not paint too shiny as it must keep it's vintage look. Also all the welding pitting must remain. That belongs to the bike as the seat and the engine belongs to the bike.

I have to wait until Friday afternoon to pick up this parts. I hate waiting so long before I can see them with my own eyes.

I should never powder coat my CB750. Originally, the CB750 has been painted, not powder coated. I find painting much more beautiful as well.

I used powder coat one time for frame and parts back in the late 1970's.  I have never used it since and will never use it for frame.  Chips easily.  Develops microfine scratches from cleaning.  Cannot be polished without creating more microfine scratches.  Cannot be touched up.  Unless holes are taped off, very stubborn to remove.  Powder coat is grreat stuff, but for restorations, my opinion, has limited application for use.  I agree, paint is more beautiful and has more original finish.

After almost 5 years being busy with other things, I started to assemble this bike. After cleaning the engine, this looks great! I obviously keep the patina. All bolts and nuts are zinc plated.

I will retain as much as possible original.









With the engine on a stand, it's easier to install the engine into the frame

The wire looms are all uncut and in great condition! I have never seen that with a 45 yr old bike

I polished the original HM300 exhausts. These look almost brand new after 45 yrs!













Carbs cleaned and revised





Original seat in perfect condition

Applied revision set to brake pump. The brake hoses will obviously be replaced by new ones



replaced the brake hoses, like all other rubber parts



Looks great with the tank and side covers. These have the original paint, just polished!

to be honest, I cleaned these 4.5 yrs ago and I dont exactly remember what I used. I think that I used thinner

Hi to all,
very good work Marcel, when do you want we can meet...:)
For the carburetors....From few days I clean the carbs of my cb 750 fa (1980).
Also for these carbs I used the ultrasonic bath and changed all rubber parts.
Very happy, my bike now start up to first push to button.
