I downloaded the MySql database and had a look at the birth date field. Most members left it at 0001-01-01. In other words they did not fill the birth date field in when they registered. Had they filled it in I could have run an an average on the column and given us the average age of members.

I just turned 56. :)

On another note, if everyone were to update their profiles with their birth dates not only could I post the average age of our members but we would also see members birthdays on the main page at the bottom. In turn, we could get a bit more personal on here like so many other communities and make sure those days are recognized with a simple Happy Birthday post. Now on my birthday, if someone wants to give me a nice red K0, feel free! ;)

PS: I'm considering trading 576 as trade or partial trade for a nice one. Any takers?

For many years we went looking for small differences in production.
We dug far and wide to discover more and more of these bikes.
We talked about restoration, and we have tried to ensure the best techniques to reproduce the originality of 1969.
We wanted a time machine.
Today it seems to me, even after the recent auctions on ebay, that all of us would like to find a perfect, immaculate, unmolested, one owner bike, as well as the day of the sale, only to clean up for good, leaving a little also the signs of aging.
In truth, over the last year have been sold many beautiful motorcycles, but I also think that views closely aren't exactly as in the pictures.

So I'm not the youngest with 45 in 6 months time as Sandcast owner/user, though after some 10 years on a BMW R69S. and of cause the legal age even before.
