Some, like me, will say unpainted others will say painted.

Attached goes a photo from an unpainted oil pan, from shop manual page 41.

Thanks.

Hello Marcello, ;)

I also share your opinion and I also think that he was not painted has the origin..
I think that it also applies for the other models Diecast K0 K1 K2.

Thanks

I have both painted and unpainted and apparently I am not alone.
Some have a kind of clear coating. Pictures from Yamiya750 website:

There are 2 distinct oil pans. The top ones (top photos) is the later type which has the small squares/rectangles cast into the base. These seem to be much more robust than the earlier type which are the bottom ones (bottom few photos). These earlier type have no squares cast into the base. Be interesting if someone has both could they weigh them and report back I do have both but they are packed away and not easily accessible at present
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I've only ever seen the earlier type fitted to sandcast engines. The later types I've only ever seen for sale and I've seen a few of these for sale in bags that have the bar code part number label. I don't swear to this though. Can anyone add more to this. It is certainly something that should be in the distinctions but only if they were fitted to engines from production
My understanding is the earlier ones were prone to cracking. KP

Thank you KP.
Yes, I had seen him this Oil pan paint on Ebay US.
I think that the Oil pan Yamiya is an original paint.
Here is photos with the weight but he is in grams.
646.7 grs for new (no peint) and 660.3 grs for the old (E-1017118)

Engine Modifications from K0 to F3, mainly based on Reinhard Hopp's book "Honda CB 750 - Die Geschichte einer Legende":

CB750E-1007220 , deeper oil pan .

There is a third type, E7220 onward?
