Recall punchmarks

 I found e 1002695 has the recall punch marks punches on the serial number pad. My 1005511 has them located on the rear wheel hub near the sprocket, apparently a tech didn't like punching the engine pad.

Someone else can jump in here but I thought the punch marks on the rear wheel hub were to indicate a different recall for the front sprocket and rubber dampeners in the rear hub. I could be wrong though and would like verification of this too.

Service Bulletin #15, 3/16/70, Figure 4, "Identification marks on sprocket flange." 

The sketch shows 3 punch marks.

E5192 also has the three punch marks next to the VIN pad (and none at the rear hub). I don't recall seeing a service bulletin which refers to punch marks at the VIN pad location. So, do the VIN pad marks denote a different recall to that in Service bulletin #15 referred to by Steve, or could it just be a case of the Tech deciding to do it "his way"?

My service bulletin #15 must be different than yours because I don't see the diagram that you referring to. It is dated 1/31/75 but refers to the 3/16/70 date. I have attached a copy of mine that you can compare. It looks like it's a revision to the original service bulletin.

Nice to se only one slide was affected at a time.
As i experienced it.
A danish book a decade ago stated all four could stay fully open!
Never really made any notice if it was the same one to jump the nipple.

yes, there is also the 3/16/75 sb revision which deals only with the 28 parts.  the original #15 has sketches/measurements of springs, slides, cables, tops and caps.  also info, sketches, on the rr.hub cushions, frame modifications for thr.cable routing, labor rates, dealer stock, replacement parts and shipping the old parts to the easter bunny.

Yes, I already had the revised 1975 #15 bulletin as Mark B shared. My question is if someone have a copy of the first edition of #15 with the wheel hub stuff.
