Okay, I might have missed this opportunity to piece together a sandcast.

A couple of days ago, a bike with frame 3743 was sold on eBay.  It was in Massachusetts and had a later model engine CB750E-2512603.

Then, a bike with E3061 is listed in Craigslist in Florida.  It was mounted in a K3 frame.

Between the two of them, the frame and engine VINs are only 682 apart.  I know, it's a bit of stretch, but at least they are both in the 3000's.

Kevin,  If you are looking for a SC, there's one in Phoenix Arizona that I saw yesterday.  I texted with Paul the seller.  Check it out here https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/mcy/d/1969-honda-cb750-sandcast/6524941311.html

Acruz - thanks for the heads-up.  I'm not sure I really "need" another sandcast - but it's always tempting.

On another note, I noticed that the frame VIN numbers in the first picture above are not punched in a straight line.  The numbers seems a bit offset and the whole VIN seems to curve.  On my bike, the numbers are very well punched in a straight line.  Is this poor number-stamping job something that is seen on other sandcast frames?
