May I ask how much those bikes cost?

I assume they produced less than 1000 of the Motobecane.

I think the coast is pretty good because there is not much ... I would say between 6000 and 10000 euros according to its condition... The production was 779 exemplaires

Wow!  Good looking, i like better than Kawasaki, but then i have never been a Kawasaki fan...   what years manufactured?   were they reliable?

I knew I have something in the archive ..
 1973 - 1976 but in 1976 they sold 4 bikes.

it has always kind of amazed me how companies can afford manufacturing so few bikes, 4 units in 1976.....  Royal Enfield Mk.1A Interceptor, less than 900 units between the end of 1966, and the middle of 1968.  and then another barely 1000 units of the Series 2 during mid-1969 through early 1970.........  maybe the governments subsidized these factories efforts.

well, i cannot resist showing off a bit, the name of the bike starts with an "H" and it has two wheels....  Today i took my '27 out for my little 29 mile route up around Horsetooth Reservoir, and then down through Masonville and over to Hwy.34 and turned around, stopped in Masonville and took a couple pics. everything seems to running well after 196 miles.

I do not really like the Harley Davidson, (nor the 350 Motobecane either...lol) but I must admit that this one is superb, very beautiful restoration, and you can be proud to pose for the picture with her...
It's curious that they made notches in the fuel tank to make room for the cylinders...
The place where you are is also excellent... :) ;)

Thank you Gerard.  my Dad bought a '27 new in 1927, and i always wanted to experience what he experienced.  the project was a labor of love that took more than 700 hours between August, 2013 until May 2017.  attached is a picture of my Dad on his '27 (i have many of him with his bike) and a picture of what i started with.

WOW...:o there was a monstrous work on it and also surely a lot of documentation searches to redo it the same...
I think it must be nice to ride with your deserted roads with these long lines straight that never ends...
I really like these old photos from bygone eras... So that we do not forget them completely....
