In all the years of this group I'm sure this difference has been mentioned. Nevertheless here's a photo detailing the differences.
Could members let us know what they have so we can get an idea of frame range these early types were fitted

24 was in pieces and slotted so we will forget that one.
31 has round hole.
180 had no rings.
388 and all my higher are slotted.
