I just aquired 97/100E and I'm in need of a few parts.  It has been sitting since 1979 and along the way a few items were robbed from it.  Fortunately it does have a few goodies: pointerless kill switch knob and housing, early carb bodies with 66mm choke lever, smooth oil lines, double cut front fender in decent shape, gauges - rough but salvagable, and the 19 liter tank which I think is a biggy.  I know my list might get few laughs because of the rarity of some of these (probably impossiblity of finding) but this is the place to ask so here goes.
11mm stem mirrors
Smooth oil lines - The ones I have look sound except for rust on the ferrules.  I might be able to save them but would like to get another pair.
Short neck petcock
LH horn - I understand there are options for this in mixing and matching parts from other models
Finless oil filter cover - A couple of options here too, turn one down, Yamiya, so not a show stopper
Now the big one, Lotus Root Exhaust
I understand that in the last 5 years Yamiya has made 2 batches of them on request (50 and then 10?).  Anyone interested in getting on a list for another order?  Maybe the market is saturated.  Or did anyone buy a couple sets and be willing to sell one?  Worst case I would just use a no number set.
Any suggestions for restoration tricks or other alternatives would be greatly appreciated too.  I realize I may not find these right away, if at all, but I won't be able to get started on this project for a couple of months (one to finish up first) and I'll be needing some smaller bits along the way but I might as well get started.
Thanks,
Mark

Congratulations on your recent purchase of 97/100E, I heard that 97/100E was on sale from a friend in Florida but  it was sold to you  before we could bid. I am glad to hear that it is more or less complete. If you could post some pictures of it we would be grateful.

Hi Mark. I have been following your sandcast restoration thread at sohc forums. You have documented it well and with the bike you just bought, you may like to do a similar thread here. Because of all the early parts, there would be a lot of interest on this site. You might even want to post the link to your current resto here too. It will help a lot of people with their work too.

Regards, Steven V.

Thanks guys.  Once my other project is complete, hopefully within a couple months, I will post my restoration progress here and share as much info as I can.

Again, I know this is a long shot but I'm still looking for the following items:
11mm stem mirrors
Smooth oil lines
Short neck petcock
I'd especially like to find the petcock.  Anyone have one to sell or know of a possible source?
Thanks,
Mark
