Sandcast #28 Carbs on EBay- not Repops but...

Hi all,
Just a word to the wise- these sandcast carbs on eBay may have genuine #28 caps, but the retaining rings for the caps are not all correct.

The 28 retaining rings on these carbs (the threaded parts which hold the caps on) are in fact later model. I can make out one as being correct (on number 4 carb). The difference is that early 28 ring 'knurls' (or raised areas) are all parallel, with no taper. Looking at the close up of carb 1 to carb 4, you will see the difference.

Later K1 onwards carbs used smaller retaining rings like these. Not sure if the seller is aware they are not all correct but you now are
