My Sandcast, frame #6457 and engine #7083, arrived in Brazil zero miles in early 1970, and is the only one Sandcast in Brazil. I agree 100% with Ueji, that the engine is correct for the frame.

These photos were also used by a scammer in Brazil, always available for a very, very low price.

General Discussion / Re: Zinc plate a tank
« on: April 21, 2015, 06:06:18 pm »
Steve, I sent my tank to a guy that will do this job in my wrinkle tank, making an electrode (anode?) that can be inserted inside the tank.

He did it in a ST70 (dax) of my sun.

I will try to take some photos of the process.

My bike came with keihin valve caps, I know that it is not an original part, but I never saw one like these.

Could the inside of a tank be plated, with zinc per example?

« on: February 03, 2015, 09:51:03 am »
I made a research at ebay and there is a lot of late (black) headlight cases with no number and some with the "1" (black), the "1" type maybe from CB 450-500-550. It is difficult to declare that "1" has small hole and "2" and "no number" are big hole without measure. Someone could measure the hole sizes.

I don't think it is a VIC restoration, realy a beautiful restored bike, but some incorrect parts for a VIC WORLD resto: HM300 pipes, rear sprocket, dot winker lens, tachometer cable clamp and oil filter cover (copy? correct for the bike?).

Engine - Cosmetic Only / Re: Oil Pan, Oil Filter Cover - Painted?
« on: November 06, 2014, 09:43:36 pm »
Steve, my NOS cam breather cover has a gloss finish, more a clearcoat with a little bit of silver paint.
I supose that due the time and usage a gloss part from a 69 bike today has today a semi-gloss finish.
