Who wants to take guesses on what it will go for? I am most likely going to go to the auction and bid.

It is all original besides tires, grips, and a few screws. Unridden since '71 but runs and drives. 12,000 miles. Frame: 1701 engine: 1901

Their estimate is $12,000. I see more than that, right?

I hope so!  I'd like to think it's worth double that or more...

Internet premium 15% Sales Tax 6% If I'm reading this correctly then let's say it reaches $20,000 then an extra $4,200 needs to be paid. Hmmm! From where I'm from that's called "gouging" or just plain theft ::)

If you buy from out of state you shouldn't have to pay the tax I don't think?? Tax is USUALLY paid at destination Country, Province, State etc. That's my experience with buying State side anyway.

Here's a direct link to the auction

https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=4305&aid=67660&lid=16898812&rts=/asp/searchadvanced_i.asp%23searchTerm%3Dsandcast%26category%3Dall%2Bcategories%26searchid%3D%26type%3Dlot%26search%3Dsandcast%26sort%3Drelevance%26length%3D25%26start%3D1%26refine%3D%26nc%3D1371668675442#topoflot
That lot is coming up shortly

Not sure whet you mean by that. It's the same bike you posed. 1701 with 12,981 Original Miles. I just posted the link as yours didn't show the same page...didn't work. I think you posted your "watch" link.
I just meant "the" lot is coming up shortly. Aka it was one of the next lots up after I posted that. It "sold" for $13,500+15%+6% but I spoke with them and they said the winner wants to back out and they'll offer it to me. So I may just buy another! I bought the ducati scrambler at the auction. What I found was amazing was that this guy (bill Melvin) bought out the Indian factory and during liquidation found all of the pencil drawings of bikes/prototypes/parts from 190x-1955. He has over 20,000 of them
