Thanks KP! It was fun to relive that day when I was editing the video.

I plan to do more posters like this if this one proves popular.

Absolutely amazing video!  It's one thing to see a finished restoration that looks good but to see every single part in perfect condition before assembly is incredible.  How long did it take you to get all the parts ready?

And then to lay it out like that and have it look so good is also amazing.  I can't even imagine it.  Sam, your creativity and attention to detail is unsurpassed.  Wow...just wow.

Thanks Mark. That means a lot coming from such an accomplished restorer like you!

I had the bike for a few months as I figured out my plan (and finished sandcast #1378). Disassembly and restoration/rescuing took about four months or so (can't remember exactly). The photo took a (very long) day to do. And reassembly took about two months.

I have something special in mind for my next three-digit sandcast restoration!

So about six months.  That seems pretty fast to me.  Especially since in took me about 5 years.  ::)

I thought you already did something special. :o  I can't wait to see what you do next.

Hi Everyone,

As promised, I have posters for sale. They are 36 inch by 24 inch on heavy glossy paper. The quickest way was to put them on eBay. You can find the auction here:

1969 Honda CB750 Anatomy of a Sandcast Poster

Of course, I emailed those of you who asked to be notified  :)
