I publish this with great sadness but feel compelled to do so. The seller is Kevin Dodge and he is a member on this forum. I thought of him respectively at one time. I bought a Sandcast motor from him off eBay and he claimed to have had a stroke so he could not load it for shipping. I also bought a nice set of Sandcast #28 carbs from him which he has yet to deliver or refund the money. Mike Rieck, a dear friend of mine in Boston, drove up to his house to pick these items up for me but came away with substantially less than I had purchased. The Sandcast motor had been scavenged of the SC head and cylinders and replaced with later models. He would not provide the #28 carb set to Mike. He said they were in the loft of his barn and he could not climb the ladder to retrieve them because of his stroke. He also refused to let Mike retrieve them for him. He is screening my calls and will not reply to my emails. I have been trying to collect my parts and/or have my money refunded for almost 2 years. His eBay handle is elrkawiman.

General Discussion / Early Hamamatsu Factory Pictures
« on: October 25, 2015, 03:53:54 pm »
I have seen several pictures of the early 1969 Hamamatsu Factory assembly line pictures some time back. But SOOC and Google searches are turning up essentially nothing.
Anybody know where they are? Have links?

TIA, Keith

Another SC on eBay. Claims mostly original.
Not in the VIN Directory, 3421/3220.
Is the seller a member here?

This crook is up to it again. Restamped frame number. NOT a Sandcast frame. Check the 006 - NOT Honda numbers. Can also see a flat grinding spot. Check rear shock gussets.

General Discussion / ??? SCAM ??? CB750Faces.com Password Reset Request
« on: February 02, 2013, 01:21:03 pm »
Lecram, All,

I just received an email requesting that I click the link to reset my password on CB750Faces.com. I did not make the request or for that matter, do not remember even having an account on CB750Faces.com.

Pretty sure the only stuff I ever bought from Lecram was on eBay not his website. Maybe a hacker but they would have to be able to intercept my email and I don't think is happening. Hope that's not happening.

Lecram, I am going to PM a copy of this post to you so you should get an email alert from the forum.

General Discussion / SC vs K0 Carburetor Distinction Question
« on: August 04, 2010, 12:18:00 pm »
I am looking to buy some NOS carb bodies. Besides the vents, horizontal vs L shaped, are there other known distinctions? I can see some casting differences in 3 #1 carbs particularly in the area where the float bowl retainer clip attaches to the body. On 1 body, there is only the boss where the clip attaches. On another, there is an extra boss with no hole toward the front. On yet another, there are 2 extra bosses without holes, 1 in front and 1 in back of the attachment boss. I cannot find any casting numbers and am unable to get pictures unless I buy them. Were there different bodies on the SC's? Does anyone know which version is correct for the SC?

Thanks in advance for any help or comments, Keith

General Discussion / Honda MSO
« on: June 07, 2010, 10:03:24 am »
Hello all,

New Hondas are sent to the Dealers with a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin that the Dealer uses to title the bike. I think it has both the Frame number as well as the Engine number. Does anyone know if Honda will provide a duplicate copy of the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin? Or, has anyone had any success getting similar information from Honda about an old bike?

Thanks,
Keith
